By accessing or using ScreenBox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ScreenBox is a digital signage management platform that allows users to remotely manage content on display devices. The Service includes a web dashboard, API, Android application, web player, and related tools.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to:
ScreenBox maintains zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any account found to upload, display, transmit, or facilitate the distribution of such material will be immediately terminated and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate law enforcement agencies, as required under 18 U.S.C. 2258A.
All account data, upload records, IP logs, and device telemetry associated with such violations will be preserved and provided to law enforcement pursuant to lawful requests. This policy applies to all content uploaded, displayed, or transmitted through the Service, including content on connected devices, in the web player, and through the API.
If you deploy ScreenBox on your own infrastructure:
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The ScreenBox software, dashboard, APIs, and documentation are our intellectual property. Your subscription grants you a license to use the Service, not ownership of the software.
ScreenBox incorporates open-source software components licensed under MIT and Apache 2.0 licenses. A complete list of third-party software and their licenses is available at our Third-Party Software Notices page.
The core ScreenBox software is open-source and available at github.com/moayead2009/screenbox under the MIT License. The restrictions in this section apply only to the hosted Service at screen-box.com and to proprietary components that are not published under the MIT License, including the billing infrastructure and internal deployment tooling.
In connection with your use of the hosted Service and those proprietary components, you agree not to, and will not permit others to:
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account and may subject you to legal action. Nothing in this section limits, modifies, or overrides any rights granted to you by the MIT License covering the open-source portion of ScreenBox, which governs that code exclusively.
ScreenBox is open-source software released under the MIT License. Self-hosted deployments do not require a license key, activation, or approval from us, and every feature is available when you run ScreenBox on your own infrastructure. The sections of these Terms that govern the hosted Service at screen-box.com - including accounts, subscriptions, and billing - do not apply to self-hosted instances; your use of the software itself is governed by the MIT License.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the Province of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Users accessing the Service from outside Canada acknowledge that the Service is operated from Canada and governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
